Martin Grimshaw, originally born in Lancashire in 1946, has however lived in Cornwall since the age of seven, when his parents emigrated to the most romantic part of England. This may well be one a reason for this painter to have become a romantic himself.

When I say romantic I mean it in all Western senses I could. Martin lives and works in the Lizard peninsula, where he is in a placid communion with nature. At the same time he admires poetry and the idea of human warmth or love.
