Map And The Flag Country
The pilot of Off The Map, "The Great White Way", featured three young doctors coming to a clinic in an undisclosed jungle location in Central/South America. Lily Brenner (Caroline Dhavernas), Tommy Fuller (Zach Gilford) and Mina Minard (Mamie Gummer - Meryl Streep's daughter) arrive at the clinic, not speaking a word of Spanish, and running from their pasts. Dr. Ben Keeton (Martin Henderson) is the head doctor. Some other doctors at the clinic are Dr. Otis Cole (Jason George, from Grey's Anatomy), Dr. Zita Alvarez (Valerie Cruz) and Dr. Ryan Clark (Rachelle Lefevre, from Twilight.)
Each episode features a number of medical emergencies, from a man getting caught on a zip line to a pregnant woman getting caught in a flash flood to a girl getting caught in an underwater rock slide. The doctors have to work together to save their patients lives, while learning about each other and their new home.
